About My Therapeutic Work

Are you frustrated by how anxious thoughts take over your mind? Have you noticed when this happens and the cost that comes with it? Do you find yourself overthinking situations in your romantic or familial relationships? Does this impede your ability to honestly identify your needs and speak up for them? It can be frustrating and anxiety-inducing to step out of your comfort zone and stand up to unwanted emotions, but the life you want to live is waiting for you, and together we can built a therapeutic alliance to tackle these issues.

My approach is collaborative and I practice through a psychodynamic lens often drawing from solution-focused and CBT interventions. I also strongly believe in the power of mindfulness and breath-work. I provide a warm, safe and nurturing space for you to uncover what may be holding you back from connecting with yourself and your needs. I help clients express their feelings and fears in order to work through them so that they can enjoy a place of higher self-esteem, authenticity, and abundance.

I am passionate about working with adolescents and adults who are motivated to do the courageous inner work to shift from a place of anxiety and suffering to greater certainty and joy. My goal is to provide a safe, intimate, healing space for individuals to work on their unique therapeutic goals and live with greater ease and abundance.

About Me…

Ever since I was a young girl I have been naturally curious about human behavior and the ways in which our minds function. I genuinely love getting to know people, listening to their stories, and supporting them through personal issues. Thus, I received a bachelors in Applied Psychology at New York University where I also concentrated in child and adolescent mental health. After working in the research field on various studies from sleep apnea risk for developing Alzheimer's disease to figuring out alternatives for people with treatment resistant depression, I decided to get my Masters in Education in Mental Health Counseling from Hunter College. I have since worked with children through elderly suffering with a variety of different mental health issues and have worked in multiple settings including community centers, clinics, and rehabilitation programs for substance use and cognition.

As a therapist I find great significance in continuously investing in my own education, therapy, and self-care practices. In my spare time I enjoy long walks, frolicking in nature, cooking/baking for loved ones, arts and crafts, jewelry making, and hip hop cardio dance classes. I am always curious to learn about other people's hobbies and often encourage movement and finding new ways to foster your unique joy.
